  • What are the installation limits of a built-in air curtain?

The maximum height of the door can be 3.5 m, while 15 cm of air must always be left between the upper intake grille and the ceiling of the room.

  • What are the installation limits of a wall air curtain?

In the case of an air curtain with upper suction, it is always necessary to leave 15 cm of air between the upper part of the blade and the ceiling. Furthermore, between the upper part of the door and the lower part of the barrier there can be a maximum distance of 5 cm.

  • What are the electrical heating elements used for in an air curtain?

The main purpose of the electrical heating elements is to adequately heat the air coming out of the barrier, making it pleasant and comfortable for customers to enter the room during the winter. For this reason, a barrier with electrical heating elements should not be considered an instrument with the aim of heating the environment where it is installed.

  • In the Aria 3 Silence 1100 model, why is the right or left distinction made?

The distinction is made with reference to the side on which the motor is located. If the door opens from left to right, the installation of a barrier with right-hand motor is recommended. Conversely if the door opens from right to left, the advice is to install a left barrier.

  • Is there an air curtain model that can be installed vertically?

No, our barrier models can only be installed horizontally.

  • Is it possible to manage the air curtain via app?

AirJet is the only air curtain model that can be controlled via an offline web page (not available on the App Store / Play Store) that can be managed on site and not remotely. Its function is to replace the mobile device with the remote control.

  • What is the automatic start kit used for?

The automatic start kit is an accessory that has the purpose of managing the on/off of the barrier automatically, when the room door is opened or closed. The kit can be used in the following models: AirJet, Aria 3 Silence (with heating element), Aria 3 Silence Front, Aria 2 Elegance T, Aria 2 Elegance TR, Aria 2 Elegance CR and Air For 3 CR.

  • How do I choose the right size of condensate drain pump?

Selection of the correct item refers to the capacity in l/h, to the kW of the air conditioner and above all to the vertical delivery (head) from the split to the condensate drain.

  • What is the difference between the Excellens and Optima duct line?

The Excellens channel is specifically designed for installations on irregular surfaces. In fact it has a rounded base which makes imperfections almost imperceptible.

Instead, the Optima line has a flat base and is therefore recommended for installations on perfectly smooth surfaces.

  • What is the function of the heating cable applied to the condensate drain pans?

The heating cable is the ideal solution to solve the problem of freezing condensate water. It features an automatic thermostat which is activated at a temperature of +3°C and switches off at +12°C.

  • Which wall bracket can I install in a coastal location?

Spirit is the bracket specially designed for installations in environments with a high degree of salinity and saltiness: in fact, it is made of PA6 (glass-filled nylon) and has the characteristic of resisting ageing and atmospheric agents.

  • Why are two of the wall brackets supplied with the vibration dampers light in colour and the other two dark in colour?

The colour of the no-shock vibration dampers refers to the hardness of the material. The two lighter coloured ones (SOFT) are to be applied on the fan side of your outdoor unit, while the two darker ones (HARD) are to be installed on the compressor side.

  • Is it recommended to install the Pico in the bathroom?

The Pico cannot be considered a bathroom extractor as for this environment it is necessary to extract moisture and any odours in a short space of time. Furthermore, having a ceramic material exchange pack, the humidity could not guarantee the correct heat recovery. With reference to bathrooms, Tecnosystemi offers a wide range of extractors (see Apply.co catalogue).

  • Why are the vibration dampers sliding?

The vibration damper has the function of isolating the wall bracket from the machine thus avoiding any electrical discharge.

  • Why does the Excellens/Optima wall terminal have a particular rounded shape?

This accessory has been specially designed with a particular rounded shape to allow the refrigerant pipes a wide curvature which prevents them from being crushed and at the same time prevents the insulation from tearing.
