We are aware that our industrial production generates significant impacts, both for the energy resources used and for the waste generated by the use of plastic raw materials. Our projects aim to contain the impact along the entire value chain.

Our circular economy model

We have adopted an integrated approach in continuous transformation to promote a more sustainable use of resources and promote the reduction of environmental impact.

Our commitment to a responsible use of resources and the promotion of the circular economy translates into a series of concrete objectives that the Company has integrated into decision-making and production processes. These mainly concern two areas: the circularity of products and processes and the sustainable supply chain.

Management of the impacts

We measure the impacts through dedicated projects.

Machine monitoring and energy audit

We use the plant energy audit as a functional analysis to identify process inefficiencies in energy consumption.

Thanks to monitoring the plants which today concerns 80% of the systems and machinery of the plants, we can predictively manage consumption by defining prompt interventions for the reduction of emissions and the containment of energy waste.

100% energy comes from renewable sources

The energy efficiency of the plants is one of the Company’s historical objectives and is maintained thanks to the self-production and use of renewable energy deriving from the photovoltaic park installed, together with the energy purchased from Guarantees of Origin.

Product LCA analysis

The LCA methodology is the ideal approach to analyse and communicate the environmental performance of a product as it considers all the phases of the life cycle, identifying their impacts and improvement actions.

We have been adopting this methodology since 2023, continuing the path and also obtaining the EPD environmental product declaration that certifies these results.

Carbon Footprint and decarbonisation plan

We have launched our decarbonisation plan which provides for the complete measurement of the environmental impact of all business processes, downstream and upstream of the organisation.
This essential step represents a starting point and the beginning of an ambitious path which aims to reduce emissions through improvement and compensation activities.
