E0: LACK OF COMMUNICATION BETWEEN POLARIS CONTROL UNIT AND CHRONOTHERMOSTAT. On the control unit, the error is shown by the chronothermostat flashing (T1, T2, etc.) and by the wording ‘NO COMMUNICATION’. If radio remote controls are provided, check that the control unit is correctly powered, or that the antenna is screwed in tightly. Another cause could be the distance between the control unit and the chronothermostats. Check that they are not too close (within 1m) or too far (over 25m). Finally, the last problem could be that the chronothermostat that displays the error does not belong to the system or that the Polaris control unit is disconnected.
Instead, in the case of a wired chronothermostat, check that the entry and exit from the control unit with relative polarity of the cables used has been respected according to the user manual.
E1: ABSENCE OF MASTER CHRONOTHERMOSTAT IN THE SYSTEM.
Assign the master timer thermostat to the ProAir system. In the case of radio frequency chronothermostats, only the Discovery 2X or 3X models can be configured as such, while regarding the Stealth 2X or 3X wired chronothermostats, any zone can be set in this way.
E2: ABSENCE OF ASSOCIATION OF AN ACTUATOR, FANCOIL OR SV WITH A THERMOSTAT. All the chronothermostats present in the system must have at least one actuator, one fancoil or one SV associated. If this error appears, from the control unit check that there are no ‘?’ on the strings of OUT 1 and 2.
E3: ACTUATOR FAULT. Actuator movement error, which is indicated by the red flash of the LED and by the reference symbol ‘O’ on the control unit. Check the correct insertion of the actuator in the damper body or vent and if necessary remove the plug cable from the IN for a few seconds in order to allow the motor to reset. Once the plug has been re-inserted, the system will automatically perform a functioning test.
E4: NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE ACTUATOR AND THE POLARIS CONTROL UNIT. This type of error, in the control unit, is represented by the flashing of the affected actuator. The error may be due to incorrect wiring of the dampers (polarity not respected), or incorrect insertion in IN or OUT. Also check that the cables used are of a suitable type, in particular those supplied by Tecnosystemi (NO LAN CABLES) and if necessary also check the crimping of the RJ45 connectors. If all the precautions listed above have been respected, check that an actuator not present in the system is not associated with a chronothermostat.
E8: GENERIC ANOMALY. In the event of an anomaly in a zone where there is a slave (especially if the LEM probes are present), this error will appear in the master chronothermostat of the system.
E9 or Lo: TEMPERATURE SENSOR FAULT. This error will appear if the chronothermostat temperature sensor is calibrated or damaged. In this case it is necessary to replace the chronothermostat.
BAT: LOW BATTERY. In the Discovery 3X and Mini Discovery 3X chronothermostat, if the abbreviation BAT appears on the display, it means that the batteries are almost flat and must be replaced. If they are not replaced, the chronothermostat display will switch on and off frequently and will show the letters Id.
