  • In which rooms is it recommended to install the Pico unit?

    With reference to residential units, we recommend the sizes 30, 55 and 80. In the specific case of bedrooms, we suggest installing size 30. For the other rooms, where possible, it is preferable to install two smaller units in order to allow correct washing of the room. The use of size 100 is only recommended in case of installation in commercial/industrial environments.

  • What does the red LED light on and the acoustic signal on the Pico mean?

    After 1500 hours of operation, the Pico unit will have a flashing red light indicating that the filters need to be inspected/cleaned. After having therefore checked the status of the filters and possibly having carried out the necessary maintenance, simply press the ON button of the unit for 5 seconds in order to reset the hour counter.

  • Is Pico a dehumidifier?

    No, the Pico unit cannot be considered a dehumidifier. The AUTO1 and AUTO2 functions only allow the unit to operate automatically when the pre-set humidity threshold is exceeded (40%, 50% or 60%).

  • Can the Pico drive be managed via app?

    Yes, but only through an offline web app (not available on the App Store / Play Store), which allows management of the unit on site and not remotely. To connect your machine, simply activate the Wi-Fi from your smartphone, connect to the network emitted by the Pico and type the IP address 192.168.1.1 into your search engine. At the end of the search, the main control screen will be displayed.

  • What are the conditions for installing Pico?

    The minimum thickness of the masonry must be 31 cm and maximum thickness 150 cm. A 50 cm pipe is supplied as standard, while the 150 cm pipe, in the event that the external wall exceeds 50 cm, is an accessory available in the catalogue. Finally, the distance between the Pico unit and any obstacle must be 50cm from the centre of the obstacle.

  • Is it possible to install Pico on the ceiling, in a vertical position?

    It is not possible to install Pico on the ceiling in a vertical position: the unit can only be installed in a horizontal position, no bends of any kind can be made and the unit cannot be ducted.

  • Can I install the Pico inside "windows" or niches?

    When Pico is set to supply mode, it draws in air from outside and introduces it into the room where it is installed. Therefore, suctioning air from "window wells" or niches is not recommended as it would introduce static and poor quality air into the room; furthermore, the unit would need much more frequent filter maintenance.

  • If I have multiple Picos in the same room can I cascade them?

    Of course, up to 4 Pico units can be connected in cascade with a maximum distance between each of them of 5 m. If this type of connection is adopted, if the first unit (Master) is set for example in supply mode, the second (Slave) will automatically operate in extraction mode.

  • What is the difference between the Pico and the Pico Clean?

    The essential difference consists of the fact that the Pico Clean only performs the function of aspirator/extractor, as it is not equipped with the exchange pack useful for heat recovery.

  • What is the difference between the AIR PUR EVO recovery unit and the AIR PUR EVO PLUS recovery unit?

    The AIR PUR EVO recovery unit has a flow regulator (supplied) and a manually operated mechanical by-pass. Instead, the AIR PUR EVO PLUS recovery unit is supplied with a digital control panel and the by-pass is automatically activated.

  • What is the Free Cooling mode present in the AIR PUR EVO PLUS used for?

    The Free Cooling mode allows the by-pass to exclude the passage of air in the exchange pack, when the external air conditions are better than the internal ones. Therefore, if in summer the external temperature is cooler than the internal one, the machine will automatically enter this operating mode, thus allowing the reduction of energy consumption related to ventilation.

  • What is the difference between a cross-flow (static) heat recovery unit and an enthalpy one?

    The cross-flow (static) heat recovery focuses its efficiency on heat exchange through the presence of a heat exchanger, which prevents the air flows from coming into contact with each other, guaranteeing the expulsion of stale air and the introduction of clean air. Instead, the enthalpy recovery unit makes it possible to recover both sensible energy and latent energy from the air without transferring vapours and odours; in particular the temperature is transferred from the flow with the highest value to the one with the lowest value, and similarly the humidity is transferred in the form of water vapour from the flow with the highest vapour pressure to the one with the lowest pressure. This phenomenon serves to prevent the incoming air from drying out too much, maintaining an improved balance of the humidity inside the house.

  • What are the parameters to take into consideration when choosing an air curtain?

    The total size of the door is the most important parameter to take into consideration, therefore height and width. Furthermore, the useful space above it must also be taken into consideration.

  • What is an air curtain used for?

    The air curtain is a useful tool in order to create temperature separation between the internal and external environment of commercial premises, keeping the door open. Attention: its purpose is not to prevent insects from entering the environment.

  • What is the difference between a tangential air curtain and a centrifugal one?

    A barrier with tangential fans has less air pressure capacity than one with centrifugal fans. For this reason, the higher the door, the more the choice will have to fall on a barrier with centrifugal fans.
